Rockwall, Texas is a great place to live, whether you are looking for a place to retire or are a young professional. In fact, Rockwall has been ranked as the fastest growing city in the state. The population has grown by more than 17% in the last five years, and it is projected to grow by another 17% in the next five years. In addition, Rockwall is home to two golf courses, as well as several other sports complexes. The city also hosts many events, such as Cinco de Mayo in May, Holiday Celebrations in December, and Shop Small Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Rockwall is also home to the Rockwall Rock Wall, a mysterious rock formation that stretches 80 feet into the ground. The first Anglo-American settlers believed the wall was manmade. However, later studies revealed the rock formation to be a natural sandstone dike. It is also a good example of a “mimbo” of a large and impressive structure, but there isn’t much evidence that it was built by an ancient prehistoric man.

The Rockwall Rock Wall is part of the larger Rockwall Museum, located in the oldest residential house in town. It is also home to a treasure trove of local artifacts.

Rockwall is home to several golf courses, as well as several boat marinas, making it a great place to go jet skiing. In addition, the city offers a variety of trails and parks.

Rockwall is also home to the Hemisphere Brewing Company, a local brew pub that started in 2012. The signature brews include Hula Girl Coconut Blonde Ale and Straight Dope India Pale Ale. The company was started by former Rockwall mayor Mark Russo in 2012. Interesting information.

The Rockwall Rock Wall isn’t the only impressive feature of Rockwall, though. Other cool features include the Texas Main Street City designation, the National Road of the Republic of Texas, and a nearby lake.

Rockwall was originally a part of Kaufman County, but it split from the county in 1873. It became a part of the greater Dallas metroplex in the 1940s. Today, the city is a major part of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and it is the fastest growing city in the state. It has the most population of any city in Texas, and is expected to reach 47,251 in the next census.

Another interesting feature of Rockwall is its status as the county seat of Rockwall County. Although the county was once a thriving cotton farming area, cotton production began to decline in the 1930s. In addition, the construction of Lake Ray Hubbard in the late 1950s contributed to the growth of the city.
